Editor, Director, Writer, Performer, Nathan has been creating new theater works infused with circus, magic and politics for over 2 decades. Nathan won first place in the International Jugglers Association festival competition. He served as vice president of the I.J.A. and co-hosted the juggling festival in his adopted home of Los Angeles several years later. Nathan co-founded The Mums, a circus theater troupe.

The Mums original theater works include The Nannies, Paul Verdier (L.A. Weekly, Dramalogue and KABC Critics Choice Awards), Mumbo-Jumble, with Tim Robbins and A Mum and His Symbols, with Story Theater's Paul Sand. Nathan has created characters for an indoor ocean in Japan, performed for the Sultan of Brunei, played Uncle Sam in Batman Returns.
